What’s the Easiest Way to Make a Website Without Technical Knowledge?

A few years ago, when a local shop owner said, “I need a website,” the next question was usually, “Who will make it for me?”
Then came the usual problems.
A developer had to be found. A domain had to be purchased. Hosting had to be arranged. Photos and product details had to be collected. Then came updates, maintenance, and the monthly or yearly cost.
For a small shop, that can feel like a lot of work.
Today, making a basic online presence is much easier. You don't need to learn coding to put your shop online. But there is another question that many shop owners miss:
Do you really need a full website, or do you simply need an easy way for local buyers to find your shop, see your products and deals, and then visit your store?
That is where I think things get interesting.
I am Abhinav Jain, Founder of Vizbe, based in Noida. While speaking with local businesses across India, I have seen the same problem again and again. Shop owners want to be online, but they don't want to spend their time learning how websites work.
For many local shops, the answer can be much simpler.
Do You Need Technical Knowledge to Make a Website?
No.
Website builders and ready-made platforms have made it possible to create an online presence without knowing HTML, CSS or programming.
You can add:
- Your shop name
- Address
- Phone number
- Opening hours
- Photos
- Products
- Offers
- Contact details
Google itself has tools that help businesses create and manage their online presence. Google Business Profile, for example, lets eligible businesses manage how they appear on Google Search and Maps at no charge.
The bigger question is not “Can I make a website?”
It is:
“What do I want my website to do for my shop?”
A Website Is Useful, But It Can Become Another Job
Suppose you own a clothing shop in Noida.
You create a nice website. Great.
But next month you get new shirts.
You need to add them.
You have a new sale.
You need to update it.
Your shop timings change.
You need to update that too.
You launch a new offer.
Again, update the website.
And then comes the biggest problem:
How will people find it?
Making a website is only one part of being online. Getting local people to actually see it is another job.
This is why I don't think every local shop needs to start with a traditional website.
Sometimes a simple, ready-to-use local business platform makes more sense.
This Is Where Vizbe Comes In
At Vizbe, our idea is simple:
Check Online. Buy Offline.
Vizbe helps local shops create an online presence without needing technical knowledge.
With the Vizbe for Sellers app, a shop can add its business information, products, deals, cashback offers and more.
Instead of building everything from scratch, the seller can set things up through the app.
A buyer can then discover that shop online through the Vizbe Shopping app and check what the shop has before visiting.
That is a little different from the usual idea of an online store.
The goal isn't always to make the shop deliver products across India.
The goal can simply be:
Let people discover your shop online and bring them to your physical store.
Add Your Products Without Building an E-commerce Website
This is one area where local shops often get stuck.
A shop may have hundreds of products, but building a full e-commerce website just to display those products can be expensive and time consuming.
With Vizbe, a seller can add products through the Vizbe for Sellers app.
A nearby buyer can see those products through Vizbe.
For example, someone in Sector 18, Noida, may be looking for a particular product. Instead of only seeing large online stores, they can also discover a local shop that has listed the product.
The buyer checks online.
Then visits the shop.
Check Online. Buy Offline.
That is the idea.
Add Deals and Offers
A normal business website can show an offer, but the shop still has to bring people to that website.
Vizbe is built around local discovery.
A seller can add a deal or special offer from the app. Nearby buyers can discover it and visit the shop to use it.
This can work for many types of shops across India:
- Clothing stores
- Mobile shops
- Grocery stores
- Beauty stores
- Hardware shops
- Medical and wellness stores
- Electronics stores
- Gift shops
- Home stores
The offer becomes another reason for a buyer to visit the physical shop.
Stay Connected With Buyers
A website is mostly one-way communication.
A buyer visits it and reads information.
Vizbe also gives sellers a way to connect with buyers through the platform.
A buyer can connect with a shop and chat with it on Vizbe.
This can be useful when someone wants to ask:
“Is this product available?”
“Do you have this size?”
“When does your offer end?”
That simple conversation can help turn online interest into an offline visit.
Send Bulk Messages Without Technical Setup
Many local businesses want to tell their customers about a new sale or offer.
But sending bulk messages can become complicated when technical tools or API setups are involved.
Vizbe for Sellers is designed to make this much simpler.
A seller can create a bulk message and send it to connected buyers through the app.
For a local shop, this can be useful when there is a weekend sale, new stock, festival offer or special deal.
The shop owner doesn't need to become a technical expert just to tell customers about a new offer.
What About the Vizbe Shopping App?
The other side of Vizbe is the buyer.
The Vizbe Shopping app helps people discover local shops, products, deals and cashback.
Instead of opening a website for every shop, a buyer can use Vizbe to explore nearby businesses.
That is useful because local shopping is often very simple:
See it online → visit the shop → buy it offline.
A buyer may live in Noida, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru or any other Indian city. The idea remains the same.
Find local businesses.
Check what they have.
Then decide where to shop.
So, What Is the Easiest Way to Make a Website?
My honest answer is:
Don't start by asking how to build a website. Start by asking what your shop needs online.
If you need a full website with complete control, pages, custom design, online payments and other advanced features, a traditional website may be the right choice.
But if your main goal is to:
- Put your shop online
- Show your products
- Promote deals
- Offer cashback
- Connect with buyers
- Send messages
- Help nearby customers discover you
then a ready-made platform can be much easier.
For many local retailers, Vizbe can give them this online presence without the cost and technical work that comes with building and maintaining a website from scratch.
India's MSME ecosystem is also putting more focus on digital tools and market access. The Ministry of MSME's recent programs include support for digital marketing and e-commerce access for micro and small enterprises.

You don't need to become a web developer.

What offers you have.
And where they can find you.
That is what being online should feel like for a local shop.
Check Online. Buy Offline.
